Jessica has served Open Excellence for the past nine years, from its founding symposium in 2011 to the exciting international collaborative for research and innovation that it is today. As founding senior staff, Jessica has been involved in a number of roles from marketing and development to program management.
She previously served as Interim Executive Director of the Association of Oregon Community Mental Health Programs following her years of state service as Chief of Staff in the Oregon Legislature and Communications & Legislative Coordinator at the Office for Oregon Health Policy & Research. She has a BA from Willamette University and is a graduate of The Pacific Program. Jessica's passion for improving mental health care springs in large part from her experience as front-line staff at a county psychiatric crisis center.

Leah Harris, M.A. possesses two decades of professional experience in nonprofit communications and development. Prior to her work with Open Excellence, she collaborated with numerous organizations in the mental health sector, including the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors, the Judge David L. Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, the National Empowerment Center, the National Coalition for Mental Health Recovery, Georgetown University, and the Suicide Prevention Action Network-USA. Leah is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Kristen is a Senior Manager at the Portland, Oregon office of Aldrich Advisors. She has over seven years of experience serving a wide variety of clients including nonprofit organizations. Kristen is the leader of the nonprofit niche in Oregon and performs assurance and consulting services.
