A fully funded project, films available for purchase. Filmmaker Daniel Mackler has completed the translation of his three documentaries, Take These Broken Wings, Healing Homes and Open Dialogue into twenty languages. The films tell of three approaches to mental health recovery that use neuroleptic drugs as sparingly as possible. Before this work, many of the languages represented here had little or nothing available on this subject. See trailers and access purchase links.
The films tell the story of three unique approaches to mental health recovery that strive to use neuroleptic drugs as sparingly as possible.
Says the filmmaker, Daniel Mackler, “I am very pleased that I have completed this grant project. It has been an amazing experience for me. I got the chance to work with an amazing group of people all over the world — with the joint goal of spreading a progressive and hopeful message far and wide. In the course of the project, I learned that, until now, many of the languages represented here had little or nothing available on this subject. So my excitement now is to see where these films go — and to see what the result of this project will be for the world’s mental health movement. Thank you to the Foundation for Excellence in Mental Health Care!”
We also send our thanks to the translators who donated their services for Hebrew, German, Croatian, Swedish, Greek, and Norwegian.
Feature films are now available for purchase.
